Testimonials

'The Turkey Club's help over the years has been immeasurable. We are once again grateful to the Turkey Club, both in terms of our food baskets and our Emergency Fund. This year again, the requests for help have grown as fast as donations were received. We thank the Turkey Club for helping us meet, at least in part, these growing needs.'
- Mel Boutilier, Executive Director, Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank

'Hope Cottage is now in its 39th year and serving about 200 meals a day to men and women living in the neighbourhood. It continues to be completely funded by unsolicited donations from organizations and individuals in Halifax and beyond. This is what makes the donation from the Turkey Club so special since it allows Hope Cottage to continue their service pursuing the mission 'to feed the Hungry.' Many, many thanks to Jack and all his fellow turkeys for their continued support. Peace.'
- Michael Burke, Director, Hope Cottage

'Through its very generous donation over the holiday season, The Turkey Club makes a tremendous difference to the women and children experiencing homelessness in Halifax. Your contribution helped Adsum for Women & Children provide a wonderful holiday party for 70 women and children, complete with lots of food and gifts for each attendee. Another 50 clients – youth, women and children received gifts on Christmas Day through the Turkey Club’s donation. Thank you for your ongoing support.'
- Sheri Lecker, Executive Director, Adsum for Women and Children

'On behalf of the Boys and Girls Club of Dartmouth please accept our sincerest thanks for your generous donation of $6,000 to help families in need at Christmas time. This year we were able to provide non-perishable food items for 150 hampers both at Holy Trinity Church. We were also able to support 20 families with both gifts and a Christmas dinner who otherwise would not have had a Christmas. With the support of the Turkey Club Society volunteers we were able to give families in need a good Christmas. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.'
- Nancy Hollis, Executive Director, Dartmouth Boys & Girls Club

'The generous donation from The Turkey Club helped us make gifts available at Christmas time to 34 young Nova Scotians, who are living with Cystic Fibrosis. These presents are really appreciated by these young people and their families.'
- David Ripley, President, Stephen Russell Cystic Fibrosis Fund

'Thank you so much for your generous donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada – Nova Scotia Branch. Our volunteers and those affected by kidney disease are so very grateful for your support. The Foundation has established patient support networks throughout Nova Scotia and is playing a vital role in organ donation. This is only possible through the dedication and commitments of groups such as the Turkey Club.'
- The Kidney Foundation – Nova Scotia Branch

'On behalf of the Boys and Girls Club of Sackville, I would like to thank you for your financial donation. With this, you have made a difference in the lives of the children who attend our After School and leadership programs. The Club used your donation to purchase Christmas gifts and food for Holiday meals for 12 deserving families. This money was also used to help 5 individuals who are on their own with no family support or guidance through the holiday season. Your donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Sackville is greatly appreciated by all of our members, staff and volunteers.'
- Trevor Brown, Club Director, Sackville Boys & Girls Club

'On behalf of the Guardian Angel I would like to thank you for your very generous gift. Your commitment to supporting our program is truly appreciated. Your donations enable us to continue providing information, counseling, training and emotional support to new parents. We thank you for helping us to build stronger family units and community caring.'
- Linda Gallagher, Interim Executive Director, Home of the Guardian Angel
